assembling the six string guitar part 5
I have encountered a big issue with this guitar be that the neck is a 24 3/4 in and not the 25 1/2 that I ordered moving the bridge has give me a problem with securing it to the neck. also the mess with the old screw holes and the grounding wire in the lid this makes it unsellable
So its either going to be kept or taken to pieces for another project a lesson has been learn,ed here always check everything twice.
assembling the six string guitar part 6
The six stringer has been assembled for a week now and unfortunately it will not stay in tune on looking at it closely I noticed the neck and box are slowly folding up. This means the joint on the neck and the support piece going into the box is not strong enough to take the string tension.
But all is not lost I will use the box to make a three string slide guitar and rethink the building of another six string. If I look at it this a learning curve it won,t feel to much of a failure I put a lot of effort into this six string guitar and had problems from start to finish, but gained a lot of experience from it.
