Thinking about next years guitar builds.

I have started to order some parts for next years guitar making projects not sure how many I will be making I,am pretty sure it will be less than last years 20.
The Plan is to make much better quality items with upgraded parts I would like to do at least 5 acoustic models with one being a 4 string.
Finding  good quality parts at a price that fair to all is a big problem, the middle of the road stuff coming in from china is usable for budget made guitars.
I remember buying my first cigar box guitar off EBay looked wonderful in the photos looked nice when unpacked than after 30 minutes playing with it the box which was only hot glued to the neck fell off.
The strings probably cost about £5.00 for 200 packs, the tuning pegs were cheap £130 wasted never again, the box design  very imaginative and looked good only to be let down by poor build.

One reason I will not sell mine on EBay is I want to see the people that buy my guitars and make sure they a happy with the build and playability even if they are only just starting to  learn. ( I have had some good success selling on the local car boots it is a very effective way of advertising with something like 700 people walking past my stall each week and having eight guitars sold there its well worth the effort mybe not the right image but a sale is a sale, ) .Trying to learn on unplayable instruments must be the biggest reason people give up learning, I myself after tying to play a stringed instruments for the past 40 years I have only just started to learn my way around the fingerboard I put my learning down to making the guitars and looking at them in a different light.
